Bill’s Mutt House

Safety

Bill’s Mutt House is owned by William (Bill) Moore, a retired firefighter, so safety is our top priority. The walls are covered with 3.5” of closed cell spray foam that forms an air barrier to help keep out pollen, dust, insects, and other allergens. This also allows us to keep the Mutt House at 71 degrees during the hot summer months. We have two fire exits in the Mutt House as well as two exits in the play yard. Our entire property is fenced so if needed we have a firefighter exit plan and a safehouse on the property in which to move the dogs. Fire extinguishers are of course in place.

We have two 2.5-ton air conditioner (AC) units so if the main unit quits, the second unit takes over. In addition to the backup unit, we are connected to an emergency generator to power up the Mutt House until SRP power is restored.

To top it all off, three of our employees live on the property for additional safety at night.

Cleanliness

Our building is vacuumed at least three times daily. Our policies work much like a hotel. Once your pup checks in, he/she will use the same kennel, blanket, pad, and feeding bowl. Once picked up, the bedding goes through a sanitizer and the dishes and toys go through a sterilizer. The kennel and tray are cleaned and sanitized and prepared for our next guest. Our yard is vacuumed regularly and sprayed with dog and earth safe cleaners containing hundreds of thousands of enzymes that eat bacteria. Our entire facility is open for a look-see by our dog parents. We require all pups to be kenneled for safety reasons before you visit, so let us know if you’d like to stop by.
